Sketch of life in the surface  of  Globe spreads between two breaths; the first at birth and second  at death. One has to admit the two realities of Life.  Everyone  is blessed with choice of deciding the shape of the sketch, good or  bad.  One  has  to  decide,  how  is  the  sketch  going  to  be portrayed. Influence of our surrounding environment going to play a major role in that; we have  to  bear  with  that.  We may call that as experience and which is going shape our life sketch.Sketch  is  the  first  step  of  Creation;  Designs  of  Art  and Engineering initiated through few scratches or lines  of  fusion  transformed life from the primitive stone age to the modern era of high tech gadgets and space travel. Sketch is the window to mind and imagination. Sketch shows what future is.  Sketch communicates beyond the language barrier;  beyond  the culture  and  social beliefs. Sketch is the tool of creative mind to visualize ideas and solutions for tomorrow.

Let us make sketches through our life; whatever humble way to make our world of Harmony, Peace and Co-existence.

Accidents are increasing and no control of high speed traffic

One more tragic road accident (hit and run) happened in front of Guru Ravidas Ashram on Guru Ravidas Marg in South Delhi.

Around 22:45 Hrs, (Friday 18 April 2008) a middle aged man was lying unconcious by side of the road (Guru Ravidas Marg), passers by people gathered but nobody was willing to touch him or taking him to nearby hospital. It’s learned that he was hit by a speedy car and car run away without stopping.  Finally one good Samaritan on a two wheeler agreed to take him to Majeedia Hospital. Victim’s condition was not satisfying to carry him in a two wheeler.

I have personally reported the accident to the nearby police post at the corner of adjacent DDA park on Street No. 29 of Tughlakabad Extn. I was told to call ‘100’ and Police from Ambednagar Police Station will take care.

This is not the first time we are getting the advice and it is true that Delhi Police is “WITH YOU FOR YOU ALWAYS” and the same exercise done in those previous occasions as well.

Sufferings of people, especially pedestrians affected the most. How many people are indirectly affected; how many man-hours are involved; how many formalities are fulfilled; how many life saving utilities are applied in to action and the statistics goes on but prevention is always better than cure.  Every family expects their member’s safe return and every child is happy to reach home safely from school but who will assure them safety in a crowded Delhi road. We believe in your good office and administration to safeguard the life of every citizen.

I have presented the grievances of residents and requested your attention about a signal and zebra crossing at the same accident spot and by side of Guru Ravidas Bus Stop through a letter dated 7 March 2006 and File. No. SARWATBD-DCPT01-070306. and learned that the latest and nearest signal installed  is in the Alaknanda Market and  by side of a 24 hour police picket.

We hope our request will be considered for this dangerous un-manned spot and one signal arrangement will be installed before the next accident.
